Sonder is a youth-led mental health initiative founded by Hoàng Nhiên to create safe, accessible spaces for teenagers to understand their emotions, express themselves, and build meaningful connections. Bringing together interactive conversations, digital technology, and audio storytelling, Sonder transforms mental health awareness into everyday experiences through three interconnected projects: Solace, Solia, and Sonance.
Beyond raising awareness, Sonder embraces social responsibility by directing its resources toward community outreach, mental health education, and educational support for underserved students. Through these initiatives, Nhiên hopes to make emotional well-being a more approachable part of young people's lives.
Three Projects, One Purpose
Solace, Solia, and Sonance represent three different approaches to the same mission: making mental health conversations more accessible to teenagers.
Through Solace, Nhiên creates opportunities for young people to connect face-to-face. Through Solia, she explores how technology can make emotional reflection part of everyday life. Through Sonance, she uses audio storytelling to share perspectives and foster a sense of connection.
Together, these projects reflect her interest in the intersection of technology, human-centered design, and social responsibility. More than building products, Nhiên hopes to create experiences that help young people feel heard, understood, and empowered to care for their emotional well-being.
